Susan Drange

Susan M. Drange is the Associate Vice Provost in the Office of Faculty Development, Diversity and Engagement. She joined OFDDE in 2019 from Columbia University, where she served as the first Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Diversity in Arts and Sciences (2015–2019), and prior to that, was the first Director, Faculty Diversity & Development in UCLA's Office of the Chancellor (2004–2015). Before working in higher education, Susan was an award-winning training and communication professional with experience in organizational change in the corporate sector. She served as the Director of Disney University, headed the training and development function for Southern California Gas Company, and was the Director of Internal Communications for Hughes Electronics. She holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. from UCLA's Higher Education and Organizational Change program, an M.A. in Communication from Pepperdine University, and an A.B. in Psychology from Cornell University. Her research interests include leadership development and strategic organizational change to enable more diverse and inclusive institutions.
